The two‐echelon routing problem with truck and drones

چکیده
In this paper, we study novel variants of the well-known two-echelon vehicle routing problem in which a truck works on first echelon to transport parcels and fleet drones intermediate depots while second echelon, are used deliver from customers. The objective is minimize completion time instead transportation cost as classical problems. Depending context, drone can be launched at an depot once (single-trip drone) or several times (multiple-trip drone). Mixed-integer linear programming models proposed formulate mathematically problems solve optimality small-sized instances. To handle larger instances, metaheuristic based idea greedy randomized adaptive search procedure introduced. main feature our lies design initial solution construction local operators, cover all decision layers run using additional data structures. Experimental results obtained instances different contexts reported analyzed.

Solving the Truck and Trailer Routing Problem with Fuzzy Constraints
The Truck and Trailer Routing Problem consists of a heterogeneous fleet composed of trucks and trailers to serve a set of customers. This problem has been solved previously considering accurate data available. But in a real-world the available knowledge about some data and parameters involves a vague nature. In this study, we propose the application of the Soft Computing to model and solve the ...
متن کاملVehicle Routing with Drones
We introduce a package service model where trucks as well as drones can deliver packages. Drones can travel on trucks or fly; but while flying, drones can only carry one package at a time and have to return to a truck to charge after each delivery. We present a heuristic algorithm to solve the problem of finding a good schedule for all drones and trucks. The algorithm is based on two nested loc...
متن کاملA Bi-Objective Green Truck Routing and Scheduling Problem in a Cross Dock with the Learning Effect
We present a bi-objective model for a green truck scheduling and routing problem at a cross-docking system. This model determines three key decisions at the cross dock: (1) defining a sequence and schedule of inbound trucks at the receiving door, (2) specifying a sequence and a schedule of outbound trucks at the shipping door, and (3) determining the routes of the outbound truck while serving c...
متن کاملA note on the truck and trailer routing problem
This study considers a relaxation of the truck and trailer routing problem (TTRP), called the relaxed truck and trailer routing problem (RTTRP). In the TTRP, the number of available vehicles, namely trucks and trailers, is limited. Since there are no fixed costs associated with the trucks or trailers, it is reasonable to relax this fleet size constraint. Besides, most benchmark instances for th...

Each customer i ∈N h...
